Andrew Morley - Trumpet

Andrew is a lyrical player with a beautiful tone. His playing is heavily rooted in the classical tradition having worked in the London Philharmonic, BBC Concert and London City Ballet orchestras - appearing at London's Royal Festival Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall and Vienna's Musikverein. He also made appearances in London theatre bands (including 'Les Miserables!' and 'Oliver!').
He's always been transfixed by jazz so made a giant leap into the world of jazz - a more 'free' music. He says: "Playing classical music at that level is a wonderful thing but there comes a time when you want to make a more personal statement - not being bound by the notes on the page. Jazz has taken me over these days. One day I hope to play at Ronnie Scott's - like Frank has!".
